That was it, thank you! Looks like I had accidentally put another exclamation mark in when I blocked out the html validator (I had <!-- --!> instead of <!-- -->). I took it out and it work ...

Thanks, that's got it! I may not use the featured product box ultimately either but at least I can change the product until I decide one way or the other.

Thanks for the reply. I probably did inadvertently screw the html up when I played with the layout. I'll go through it and try and find the problem.
