I found it! There was a corrupt line in my datafile. as I had read earlier.. It was easy to spot, I exported the data base file (csv) and imported into excel, then referenced the file and found the mi ...

I only have the Featured Product, Tools/resources and the Store templates buttons listed in the Merchandising Tools section. I have no top ten, coupons or new - ten buttons.
