I think this was solved by removing the line in the form

<INPUT TYPE=HIDDEN NAME='txntype' value="sale">

Linkpoint says it will default to authonly when this line is removed

Actually the file has a few passwords.

Isn't this what happens when you don't identify the exact urls you are using in
the linkpoint setup (on linkpointcentral.com)
