Hi,

I currently am the webmaster for http://www.kidsonquads.com/acart. My setup is working but the client does not want to see the categories in the middle of the page when you come into the store (the layout of categories on the left is good). Instead he wants to have logo/images/etc. to show up in the middle of the page. It appears to me that I will have to hack this out from /html/index.html which is where I believe this view is being spawned. Am I correct?

Will stopping this category view and instead having images impact anything else?

Yes, that is the file you will need to edit for the front page of the store.
You can remove the categories from the middle. You can put whatever info you want there.

hell-o
if you customize your header and footer files then you can make all store pages look just like the home page. by using the ugly agoracart header and footer you're moving identity around which is kinda backwards.
agoracart was intetended as a fully customizable/adaptable shoppingcart.
take a look here for example:
http://www.hgltd1.com/
this site is not fully customized. everything in the hgltd1 sub-directory ( http://www.hgltd1.com/hgltd1/ ) is agoracart which will become evident as you click through more of the store.
point is make the store look like you want it to look and make it do what you need it to do. you can do it!
