My price does not show up correctly!

I dont know why this is happening, but when I put in my prices with commas (ex: 1,400.00) it shows up as $14.00 why is this happening? and how do I fix it?

You can't put a comma in the price. I'm not much of a programmer so I don't know if you can change the scripts to allow it or not. But the way it stands right now, it won't work
