Post Email to vendor upon confirmation of payment (automaitic)
I am looking for a Shopping cart that will allow the following, and I don't know if it can be done.

The client who owns the Store travels a lot and is requesting an automated system, but before I go there, here is his store structure.

He holds the storefront, but no product. The order is placed, he gets notified (and so does the customer), customer pays through PayPal, once PayPal payment is confirmed an email is sent to the vendor/shipper for delivery.

The problem is that there is no one present to check payment verification and then send the order to the vendor.

Can this be done automatically?

I forgot this part!

- if a single order includes items from two or more vendors, can emails be sent to each vendor with only their product listed.

I'd also be curious if the emails to the vendors could be stripped of costs / pricing info

Thanks, Loren

well, i wouldn't do things "automated". someone must monitor the transaction. there are a number of things that can go wrong or place an order in limbo. if anything happens to payment or order information (shipping address could be wrong, for example) then the product gets shipped out and he's hosed.
the emails can be messed with somewhat. if you want an automated email to send out without certain merchant data in it you can do that and use the orderlog as the merchant information.
you need to be a member to use the paypal gateway for agoracart.
depending on the type of travel he does and where he is from day to day, there are many ways to log into the net and check emails...hotels, truck stops, cafes libraries, etc. etc. it would be best to monitor or to have someone monitor at least once a day.

Thanks Dan

That's the kind of information that I am looking for, and you are right, but when a request is made, you have to look into it.

I will pass this on to the client.
