Adding additional functions to Agoracart for downloads

Hello.
I am trying to have the cart retrieve information on whether or not a customer has bought a download or access to a membership. What I need to do is activate the customers username and password for gaining access to the information that they bought.(Like sites where you buy access to downloads, memberships, or information)

Where in this code would I place the new function. Also is there a function to do this already or will I have to write it myself.

yep, there is no existing code that would allow you to "activate" a customer's account. it'll have to be custom coded.

Where is the location of code written to add to Log file

I am trying to create a hack for adding downloads to the store. I have structured a way to do this, but I need to know where 2 codes are located.

1. Where is the code where the order log file is written. (I need to know where is the code coming from after the transaction is made).

2. Where is the code for emailing the order receipt to the customer. (I need to know this to alter the code so that I can add a username and password for the database, which allows the customer access to the download location).

Elements of both of these are in the <gateway>-order_lib.pl file

1. Additional logging of the order is done in the agora_order_lib.pl file
