Set two shipping rates no tax

Post Set two shipping rates no tax 
How can I set two shipping rates, one for domestic and one for international customers? I would also like to completely remove the tax field from the cart.

You can use the custom shipping logic to handle your 2 shipping rates.
Although, if you can be more specific about how you want to calculate the shipping we can give you better direction in this matter.

Why do you want to remove the tax field?

I want to set two fixed rates of £3 per item for domestic shipping and £6 per item for international shipping.

The tax is already included in the price and I do not want it to be listed separately. Here in the UK we have a fixed tax rate across the whole country.

I hope that makes sense.

That brings up another question. What about tax on the international shipments?
International cusotmers should not have to pay UK tax...

On the shipping logic, you might use something like:
Code:
$country = $form_data{'Ecom_ShipTo_Postal_CountryCode'} ;
if ($country =~ /^UK$/i ) {
$shipping_price = $total_quantity * 3;
} else {
$shipping_price = $total_quantity * 6;
}
