you can rename even the file itself technically, as long as it ends in a .tgz ... best to rename it once on the server. Or you can rename the file it's looking for in the script too.
The new installers will make it so you don't have to download the file at all. You simply upload the installer to your server, change modes to 755 and run from yer browser. about 80% of the folks on the web will be able to use it... the other 20% have I like to run around all day waving my hands inthe air and screaming: I am Perl Harbor today servers or unusual operating environments (microsoft, remote SSL or cgi, no cgi execution, no perl installed etc). Once it's done, it will delete itself.
I'll also have an upgrader thingy. It will update some common things from a version 4K store to make upgrades much easier (but not totally pain free though as things like headers and footers are a bit different now)
