Calculating $price per dozen after discounts

Post Calculating $price per dozen after discounts
My products are sold per dozen and I'm using options with % discounts.

I need to figure out a way to multiply the (%%qty%% * 12) before it calculates the total cost, based on the % discount. I'm thinking I need to do this in the var_opt.html page code, or is there somewhere else I can set the quantity to represent quantities of dozens, before it's mulitplied by the discounted price?

Thanks.

If your products are sold in dozens, then set up the product so that the quantity entered in the quantity box is how many dozen they are buying.
Then use that var opt file as normal.

HTH!

Post RE:
I see what you are saying, however, at this point, my client is wanting to display an individual price per unit. I guess I could display both the individual unit price and the quantity price, using the additional variable fields. I was just looking for a work-around in the codings by simply asking that the %%qty%% be mulitplied by 12 before being mulitplied by the %%price%% (with or without discount).

Thanks.
