Hi, I am a completely newbie in setting up a e-shop so please excuse me for my ignorance

As I am in Australia and we don't have UPS, I can't use the shipping that comes with the cart.
How do I just set a flat rate for the 1st item ($12.00) and then $2.00 for each addtional item? Can that be done?

Also, I tried it with checking out with Paypal, but it just takes me to their main page. And when I log into paypal, it doesn't show the check out total. Did I do somthing wrong?
Also when I click on the paypal icon on checkout, it opens up my offline form. I don't have an icon for offline as well so how do the buyers choose that option?
I am on version5. Just installed 2 days ago and it has taken me this long to figure out how to add a product in
I haven't even tried to add my site header on the top. Will learn how to do that once I sort out this shipping and checkout business.

As for the PayPal issue, did you make sure to set up the PayPal Gateway settings in the store manager?
What is the URL to your store?

I have set paypal as primary gateway.

Also do I need to put the shipping price in the add product section? I pasted the code in the shipping section and I hope i have it in the right place. then I did another bogus order and on check out, the shipping doesn't show in the grand total so maybe I should put price in the box that says shipping weight or price?

Turn off multiple gateways in the Primary/Core settings....
Set "replace order form tags" to "No"

In the Secure/SSL URL field, what do you have?

Do not put the shipping price in the shipping field of the product.
What are the settings you have in the Shipping Settings manager?
Please post all of the settings.

After turning off the multiple gateway and form tags. On check out, there is no paypal at all even though I made it the primary gateway. When I click on check out, the form opens.

I didn't put anything in the SSL box but somehow always my own url is there.

Hmm...I have no idea what is happening

By the way, how do I clear the page of the other things? Like what is written in there and the open source title at the top?
I will try and do that tomorrow. Looks like setting this shop up will take me forever

The order form is opening as it is supposed to do, now.

Thank you so much. It is working fine now and even the shipping is working good.
But what do I do about the offline now that I have turned off the multiple gateway?
I do so want to have them fill out their order form and then submit whereby I email them my bank details or maybe include that in the order form and they can pay with internet banking.

Can I turn on the multiple gateway on? And I want to add an ANZ bank icon on next to the paypal icon. Which section do I go to add the picture url on so it will show up?
