Hi.

I'm using the following version of AgoraCart:
AgoraCart DELUXE Store Manager ver. 4.0K-4b Standard

The following message appears in email receipts:
Shipping Instructions:
Ship By Weight cost was based on the suggested configuration below. It might not be the best way!
ORIGIN: 91602

It looks like the text originates from the following file, shipping_lib.pl, from the following lines:
$instructions = "Ship By Weight cost was based on the suggested ";
$instructions .= "configuration below. It might not be the best way!\n";
$instructions .= "ORIGIN: $Origin_ZIP\n\n";
$instructions .= "Box 1:\n";

Can I just comment out these lines to get rid of the extraneous text in the email receipts?

sure or just ignore it. that comes to the merchant's email only. so no customers will see it. it's just a note meaning that when actually sending a package there maybe other ways less expensive.

You are using a fairly old version of AgoraCart... You might want to consider installing the current version of AgoraCart... Current version is v5.2.

I've thought about upgrading for my client, but I've made extensive revisions to the table templates and some of the code. So I'm worried about losing those revisions, and having to do them over again, or figuring out how to copy the old revisions into the new templates/code.

So I'm not sure what my incentive would be. I feel like I would upgrade and then have to do a lot of revision work for free, or try to convince my client to pay me for upgrade revisions when the current cart already works fine.

Has the table code been replaced with a css layout? That would alleviate the nightmare of wading through bloated table code, and might be incentive enough. :D

yeah. more css control but still in tables. dynamic stuff like this is insane tableless. not only that css isn't total control yet without being a total geek and even then browser difference makes css almost a joke for complicated layouts. i have done agoracart totally tableless except for the cart display and it works out pretty good. still, for complicated designs just toss in a few tables if the css is written well enough.

you may want to install the recent version and take a look. there will be a learning curve when jumping from 4.x to 5.x. also much of the code has been modernized and shipping and gateways improved as well as updated to recent 3rd party requirements.
