Post Email orders to store owner
How is the gateway handled, if at all, when one wants the orders to go directly to the store owner via email and he in turn would process the credit card information directly and send out the merchandise once the credit charges are approved? In other words for now not using paypal or any of the others. Thanks.

Then, you will be using the Offline Gateway...

Once again thanks. I finally found the ssl url for the Shared SSL but it doesn't seem to work with cgi files. I will go back to my webhosting company for more info but I would like to know what my options would be if I find that I cannot come up with a ssi url. Can I just continue to use the same URL that the store uses? Thanks.

Not if you will be collecting credit card or virtual check info...
You MUST use a SSL URL on the checkout pages when collecting that info.

My webhosting company instructed me on using the shared ssl. My question is - how can I be sure that it is in fact a ssl page/location being generated? Thanks.

Hi,

You should see in the url https://www.yoursite.com/page

Notice the "s" in the http bit.

EG
https:// is secure url
http:// is not secure url.

Hope that helps.
Glen.
