Post How do I limit the access.log file?
Our access.log file is 120M. I can find no place in the settings to limit it or delete it after so many days.

Can I just delete it?

thanks.
(using a very old version of agora, 4 something. maybe older)

Sure you can delete it... I think the cart sould create a new one...
If not just create a blank file with the file name and upload in ASCII mode to the server.

BTW, you might want to consider upgrading your cart to the latest version, 5.2.

Thank you. I"ll delete it.

I tried upgrading, I really wanted to, but the export/import does not work. I contaced someone here and they said "just re-enter your items." We have 1500 items, so that's not really an option.

You cannot use an upgrader...
BUT, you can download your data.file from the old version and upload it in the new one...
No need to import it since it is already in the format it is supposed to be in.
Just make sure to download/upload in ASCII mode.

Maybe I did something wrong.

I logged ito the admin, and clicked on database. and then "export entire database to csv".

I think I then did a whole new install into another folder and then tried to import from csv.

And it was all gumbled.

So what you are saying is to do a new instll in another folder, then ftp the old data file to my computer and then ftp back to the new location. And this is not the "export/import" option?

If so, I just need the location and name of the file.

Thank you.

Yep, DO NOT use the import /export feature. That is more for inporting an excel file.

The download/upload method is the one you want to use, it is MUCH easier, too...

thank you. I have orders to process tonight, and it's usually too busy to try this during the week, so I'll give it a go next weekend or sooner if I get a break.

thanks.
