Post Digital Downloads with Agora? 
Is it possible to use Agora for Digital Downloads? ie - download an ebook. And can it be done using paypal?

Right now, AgoraCart does not support digital downloads, but will be when the bew version is released.
Unfortunately, at this time, we do not have a release date. Sad

The new version is coming soon (when? not sure), but, I believe, the digital downloads will be a members kind of thing when it does get here.
I do know that Dan might have some sort of work around but it would be dependant on the gateway used.

Post Has the new version (with digital downloads) come out yet? 
I am just writing to ask what is the latest on the digital downloads situation? Has the new version come out yet? Or has a date been set. I would like to muse Agora Cart because I like the look and feel and ease of use. But my highest priority is a digital download capability.

The new version is currently in "release candidate' status and being tested by Pro Members.
I do not know what the projected public release date is, but I can tell you that downloads is a feature that is being tested in the "release candidate" version.

Post Digital downloads? 
OK, here's what I do: List the digital file just like it was any other product and when it is sold the customer is notified that an email will be forthcoming with the file enclosed.

As for unauthorized re-distributions, I can only make sure I have copyrighted the file and included a notice to that effect within the download.

After that, all I can do is hope I catch someone distributing my file so I can make some extra money suing them for copyright violation.

I don't mind paying for an upgrade that would eliminate the need for this system, but the price is too high.

The downloads feature is now available with the v5.5 Gold version to premier Gold members with the booster pack...
