Post Problem with PayPal
Hello,
Just when I thought all was working!

When I use Paypal nad click on "aller au PayPal" (go to paypal)
it goes to my clients page asking for his password, not the automatic payment page.

It has the Order information and it is in french.
( I have https://www.paypal.com/xclick/business not https://www.paypal.fr/xclick/business ; because my client must have signed up via the dot com site...french address does not work)

Where or what should I look at

and the Replace order form Tag is set to NO

Thanks
Sue K

PayPal does ask you to login. It also has a link below that where it says if you don't have an account (or don't want to use it) you can proceed without it.

Hello
I thought it went right to a page where you could pay.

This has a login box with the client's email filled in on the first line
and it is asking for a password.
That is the strange part. It is not the page I have seen before when
I tested.

Thanks
Sue

Yes, that's normal now. PayPal keeps changing what their landing page looks like and that's what it's like now. Below that login area is a link that says:

Don't Have A PayPal Account?
Pay with your debit or credit card as a PayPal guest

So people can still proceed without a PayPal account, but it defaults to a login assuming that you have an account with them.

Hi
I think I may have stated my problem incorrectly
I do the web page. My client is the owner of the business.

When I ( in testing the site) press to go to PayPal,
It is the OWNERS email address that has been automatically put
in the box it sign in

Your email address : OWNER'S email@orange.fr
Password:

If it made sense to sign in like this, it should be the email address of the person
who is making the purchase.

I think the PayPal site knows who you are with cookies, etc so it plugs in the email address that you used there before. Are you sure customers are seeing the owner's email automatically filled in? What happens if you do an order from a computer that's never been to PayPal before?

It think you hit the nail on the head.
I just tested your store, Sue, and when I got to PayPal,
it did have my PayPal ID in the email addy box.
If you saved login info on the browser, then it is picked up on when you get to PayPal.

Thank you both.

I liked it better when it just went to the pay option, but what can I say.
I think some people may be put off by the sign in option...and may not see
the Guest option. Oh well...

They ( the company) get most of their orders paid by check, very few by credit card;
so this seems to be the best option here in France.
I think in the 3 years they maybe have had 6 credit card payments.

Thanks again
Sue K
