Post Set options file for products based on logged in user
Hi All,
I want to be able to have customers log in during shopping/before checkout and then have different product options available depending on their credentials (ACL based solution basically). So, for example, logged in users in the "wholesalers" category should be able to see bulk quantity and discount pricing for some/all products, whereas non-logged-in users should not see that. Does anyone know if there's a module out there that I can buy/install that does some or all of that? I know there's a multi-profile ACL login manager available for version 6.x Gold, but I'm running agora cart version 5.2.005 on a fully hosted platform (i.e. not sure if I can upgrade to version 6.x Gold) and I'm not sure if it will do the product options piece that I want....

The alternative to this is to create a new wholesaler portal instance, but I don't want the headache of managing multiple shopping carts/sites.
Cheers in advance,
Marty.

Marty,
You would need 2 separate stores. Although, there are some tricks that I have employed for my clients that would allow them to utilize 1 database, but have separate stores. The problem comes with the displaying of the bulk info, but could be done. It does take some custom coding and manipulation of core files which would be erased with updates, unless you keep track of those edits that you could reapply when the files get updated.

Thanks Bonnie,
I think it may be easier to simply setup some sort of coupon management for the wholesalers.
Cheers,
Marty.
