Howdy all,
I've sorta hit a crossroads of sorts. For the first time I've hit a
point that my multi-tasking abilities just can't keep up with the
AgoraCart project. I am now faced with a situation that is a great
milestone yet problematic at the same time. I need to hire folks to
help out with coding and support. Since the bulk of the work is free or
very low in revenue, it doesn't quite add up for the funding of
additional personnel. I can't fund it personally either. I've looked at
grants and other options to no avail.
So, instead of turning to extensive commercialism or begging for
donations/grants, I am looking to support it with auxilary commerce
activities. So I am asking AgoraNauts to help out by looking into these
two services that will directly support my efforts to keep programming
AgoraCart, hire help, and keep the project more than just a hobby... yet
allow those involved to make some extra income:
1. PropellerHeadHosting.com Affiliate or reseller programs
http://www.PropellerHeadHosting.com
2. SnooperClick.com Advertising or Affiliate Programs
http://www.SnooperClick.com
For designers, hosting companies and anyone wanting to start their own
hosting company and/or expand their hosting offerings, the reseller
opportunities at propellerheadhosting are a great way to do so without
the technical or hardware overhead. I also make resellers and others
based on the hosting services automatic ASP hosting partners, as well as
give greater support fer cart issues.
If you jsut want to refer folks to the hosting services, the affiliate
program has great payouts as well just fer posting links or banners on
yer site.
The second option involves a new search engine... SnooperClick.com.
Currently it uses 3 databases: internal PPC, external PPC, and the dmoz
project to round out the results. Advertising is pay per position
keyword based for targeted exposure. Affilaites can earn money from
referring searches and advertisers to snooperclick or from clicks on
paid keyword results they post on their site.
I hope that you will consider these two sites as a way to help the
project and make some extra income for yourselves. AgoraCart will still
have pro memberships, some advertising, ASP program, and donations
funding... but this is the best way I could figure to expand it to the
next level without raising prices, begging in vain fer grants, or
further commercialization of the project, etc.
anyway, thank you fer yer time and yer continued support :)
