Post Real basic question for those in the know
Hi guys,

I've been reading over the Agora info and am really liking what I see. However, I have a really simple question that I need answered before I jump into things and waste a lot of time experimenting.

THE FACTS:

• I have an online store.

• I have tools for managing inventory, product info, etc.

• I have tools for managing user accounts.

• I do NOT have is everything needed AFTER a User clicks "Buy This Now" (ie: shopping cart, credit card info, email notifications and transaction).

QUESTION: Can I pick and choose what components of Agora I need, or is it more or less an all-or-nothing scenario?

Any advice is appreciated! Thanks!!

hell-o
yes/no

bye! LOL

ok, you have the source code and may most certainly do as you wish with your store.

my opinion is to let the store handle everything concerning the checkout process and port out the data. you wont want to defeat the offline's technique of splitting up the cc number. don't store entire cc numbers on an online server or you'll be really hatin it if found out.

another thing would be to wait until the agora mysql version is released. this is probably not a doable option for you.

any of the above options will take time and probably expense to integrate into your system. so, you may want to look into a few of the free mysql shoppingcarts as an easier, less expensive and less time consuming solution to your delema.

good luck and happy holidays!
regards,
dan
