Hi all - this is our first attempt at using the AgoraCart for a client. We have the cart setup and a 2checkout account secured BUT .... man oh man am I confused here!

What we are doing is a VERY complex lookup (auto parts) based on approximately 10 series of possible options for a given vehicle. We are running a full java site with an MySQL backend. Once the customer goes thru the lookup we find the appropriate part and display it with a price... heres where we then want to allow the customer to add the part to their cart...

Now I see all the goodies about uploading the db and setting up the inc files BUT ..... we really only want to "plug" the cart into our existing interface AND Im REALLY curious how to take the part number (that we already have in OUR MySQL database and plug it into the cart.......

One last question thats haunting me is the updates .... this customer isnt exactly a computer wizard so I was thinking of having him buy that cool desktop manager ........ but it only seems to update the db file in Agora and wont interface with our MySQL databases ....... Am I correct here? I saw a post from about a year ago that said a newer version that interfaced with MySQL was being worked on (the cart that is) ...... is it out?

The MySQL version isn't quite ready. Not sure when it will be, hopefully within a few months.
