Post Confirmation emails contain no product entries
Again I have read the sticky and all the replies to people with similar problems but they haven't solved the problem.

Note that I have included product and quantity info in the Cart Display page at AgoraCart Main Page Settings. I have specified the setting to write Log entries. Both agoracart and 2CO are live.

At 2CO there is a place for you to put in the URL passing parameters back to AgoraCart store. Here's what it looks like (my ID number is above 200,000):

Quote:
Affiliate URL
Input the URL provided by your affiliate program
2Checkout.com supports almost any affiliate program that works off a hidden image tag on the sales
confirmation page. Fill in the <image src => string provided by your affiliate program.
To have the string populated dynamically put the following variables in the appropriate locations
and the pay routine will fill them in after the sale is complete.
$a_order - 2Checkout.com Order ID.
$a_total - Total Dollars Paid.
$a_product - Your Product ID.
$a_quantity - Quantity of Product ID Sold.
<img src = >
Example: https://affiliate.com/sale.cgi?order=$a_order&total=$a_total&product=$a_product&quantity=$a_quantity

I have tried the following URLs (for my store, powered by V-Deck):

1. The full URL resembling the example:
https://st12.startlogic.com/~sparkleb/cgi-bin/ecommerce/ac/agora.cgi?
order=$a_order&total=$a_total&product=$a_product&quantity=$a_quantity

2. Taking out the dynamics
https://st12.startlogic.com/~sparkleb/cgi-bin/ecommerce/ac/agora.cgi

3. Added a ? at the end
https://st12.startlogic.com/~sparkleb/cgi-bin/ecommerce/ac/agora.cgi?

4. Used http instead of https (Dan's suggestion from a previous reply)
http://st12.startlogic.com/~sparkleb/cgi-bin/ecommerce/ac/agora.cgi

5. and then I put in #1 again
https://st12.startlogic.com/~sparkleb/cgi-bin/ecommerce/ac/agora.cgi?
order=$a_order&total=$a_total&product=$a_product&quantity=$a_quantity

Results: I've bolded in the things I think may be clues. I examined the three logs - the Order_log viewed from AgoraCart's main page and the Shopping Cart log and access log viewable from File Manager.

All entries allowed generation of confirmation emails and none including 1 and 5 contained product details.

No URL allowed writing of information to AgoraCart's Order_Log - it was always empty.

All URLs wrote to the Shopping Cart log but only contained the last product viewed from the store even if I didn't purchase it. Both the cart numbers and the order numbers appeared to be correct.

Only URLs #1 and #5 resulted in entries to the Access Log. However these entries included a shopping cart number somewhat different from that displayed on earlier pages at the store and at 2CO. 1106909183 vs 1106908986 in the access log for URL #1 and vs. 106912721 in the access log for #5.

Anyway, I'm sorry, I know this is a lot of information, but does anyone know how I can get the product details into the emails so I know what to send buyers?

Thanks
Wayne

Try using the following URLs in all areas of the manager:
http://www.sparkleberrysprings.com/cgi-bin/ecommerce/ac/agora.cgi

Since you are using 2Checkout's secure server to collect the customer's info, you do not need to use an SSL URL.

HTH!~

Post same thing
Thanks Bonnie, I entered that URL (hadn't thought of that), but it gave the same results as URLS 2,3,4 above; i.e., a shopping cart entry including the last item viewed (though not purchased) and no access log entry.

There were however two access log entries at 13:13:10 and 13:25:45, which I presume is you testing it? That would have been with URL #5, which is how I left it earlier.

Is there any possibility that my product ID numbers, which are 9-letter codes, might be an issue? I can test that if you think it's a potential problem (but it's not easy). I have changed the setting to admit 9-digit codes.

Did you change the URL in the gateway? What about any kind of set up in 2Checkout's control panel?

I don't think the product IDs would matter since that info is not part of the transaction between AgoraCart & 2Checkout....

Yes, I did change the URL in the setup section. I did notice that when you submit, some URL submissions disappear from the box as if they've been accepted and some do not disappear. It appears that the only time they disappear from the box after the page has reloaded upon submission is when they contain .....agora.cgi? followed by the variables that are passed back to the store. That would have been the URLS in 1 and 5 above, and I've attempted submissions of additional URLs based on your suggestion, Bonnie, again they're only "accepted" if they contain the variables.

There is no panel for those of us who have numbers above 200,000. In the previous topic ( http://www.agoraguide.com/faq/viewtopic.php?t=1130 ) I quoted the front page after login. That's what we get; I've filled in the bank and so forth info in #1, also #2 and #3, but it's #7 that seems to be the equivalent of a "panel", and there's not much you can do there.

BTW, my partner called the bank to inform them why there were so many credit card purchases of the same items, just so's they wouldn't freeze the card, and they said:

Quote:
It appears to them (and if the emails mention it, to 2CO) that sparkleberrysprings.com is taking money out of its own til by ordering from itself. That is illegal.

Great! They were surprised 2CO didn't give you a dummy account to test out things.

I appreciate your suggestions and questions. They're making me think of other things too. And glad to hear I shouldn't have to change my store items id numbers yet!

I don't have a fix for your problem, however the following isn't the area you need to be working with. If you read it close you will see it is for use if you are setting up an affiliate program.

Affiliate URL
Input the URL provided by your affiliate program
2Checkout.com supports almost any affiliate program that works off a hidden image tag on the sales
confirmation page. Fill in the <image src => string provided by your affiliate program.

Aha. Thanks for that - very helpful. I'm not certain what to do now but it's good to know that this wasn't it.
