Post How to alter one of the product templates 
I have a part of my site that uses productPage-4a.inc, the problem is i only want three, so there is an extra unused box im not sure how to get rid.

Go to Store Manager, scroll down to the following and enter "3" in the box.

How many products do you wish to display on each product page?
Answering this question simply tells AgoraCart how many Products to display on a 'default' store page. You can make changes to these store pages, but that's another discussion and is described elsewhere

Er, it didn't change either.

On the option it says I can use maxp=nn to change the form but i'm not sure how or where to enter this.

I use ppinc1a and it displays 1 item per row and as many as I set in manager.
