Different Shipping Calculations for Different Products?

Post Different Shipping Calculations for Different Products? 
I'm just starting to evaluate AgoraCart to see if it has the functionality that I need for my purposes. One need involves shipping calculations.

For some products, I need to use 'weight' calculations with UPS shipping. I understand how I can do this using the SBW module.

But, for some products, I need to use a 'flat rate, per item' calculation, instead of a 'weight' calculation.

In looking at the Shipping setup and the Product Edit setup, I don't see any way of setting a different 'type' of shipping for each item. In other words, there doesn't appear to be any way to set one item for 'flat rate, per item' shipping, and set another product for 'weight' shipping.

Am I missing something?

Also, does AgoraCart support linking into PayPal? I didn't see anything regarding PayPal in the Payment Gateway section.

You have to choose one way or the other in your case. There a lot of ways to do the shipping, but your way would probably require extensive coding. Not a quick fix.
You can use SBW module or ship by item cost, but not both together. Using custom shipping logic, you can base shipping on weight, cost, quantity, or shipping method. But, it is applied to the entire order and would not cover individual items.

Yes, Paypal is a Agoracart option. It is a members only gateway.

So, it would be possible to set up AgoraCart so that one customer's order used 'flat rate, per item' shipping costs while another customer's order used 'weight'-based shipping costs. These 'methods' just couldn't be 'mixed' in the same 'customer order'. Correct?

And, if this is correct, then this would require some 'custom' coding in the shipping logic section of Agora. Correct?

No, one customer's order could not be calculated one way and another customer's another.
The store runs one way or the other, not both. If it could it would take VERY expensive, extensive coding. Very much outside the scope of this forum.

So, there's no way to set up different shipping 'methods', and the customer can select whichever they want at the time that the order is placed? In other words, they could select either 'UPS, weight-based' or 'flat rate-based', when checking out of the store?
