just quick a note on release of 5.0.0
I just made some significant progress of 5.0.0 shipping probs I was
encountering. A release candidate 5.0.RC1 (release candidate 1) will be
out soon for members only to try out. then we can look at some further
additions and refinements for final release in the next month if all
goes well, so cross yer fingers.
should include discount manager (members only), UPS XML (members only),
USPS XML, some what updated UPS freebie, fixed multiple boxes in
shipping real time shipping routines, multiple origins in real time for
drop shippers and multi location businesses, CSS integration with
manager (control all the layout attributes from css instead of digging
thru code), multiple headers by category name, product page layouts by
category name, sub categories, and a bunch of other security and cool tools.
More gateways and gateway refinements, order management, and a few other
goodies are slated fer 5.0.RC2 (release candidate 2). After that, we
should be able to proceed with a production version at 5.0.0
We will also be building order management, option builders, file
builders (static pages, and other tools for windows and Linux desktops
to use offline.
