#2 I'm lost as , I built a cart at

- all was working perfectly until i edited some of the protected files (saved some backups tho) and then uploaded the whole new protected folder to my cart. My cart still works on the client side but when I try to access the admin back end I get the 500 Internal Server Error:

#3 So I uploaded the backed up "protected" folder to the cart but still no luck...
I really don't want to start over... is there any way out?
Ive tried 2 new carts and am playing around with the protected files to try to find out which file is throwing the error but still no luck... now I'm locked out of all 3 carts I've created

I noticed a lot of talk about permissions and making sure everything was uploaded correctly in ASCII or binary. I'm almost positive everything was uploaded correctly, but I'm not so sure about the permissions, I never changed them so I don't understand how they could be changed simply through the upload/download process... also I saw in another post someone mentioning to make sure the permissions for all .cgi files were set to 755... how can I check/edit permissions?
