You could always look at the Pro forum as a way for the cart itself to
remain a free product. Mr. Ed and many others have poured many hours of
blood, sweat and tears into making this cart what it is today.. By them
doing this they have provided the little guy a low cost(free method) to get
into the ecommerce world without breaking the bank, in the hopes that by
providing Agoracart to the masses it will allow many little guys to prosper
and the Pro Forum is a way to give a little back to keep the engine running
so to speak. I think Rev said it best last week which I hope you don't mind
me quoting what you wrote Rev.

"To all that have ears, let them hear; to all with eyes, let them see! I am
a member of a fine group of people who help one another and share themselves
unabridged. They don't ask for much, but they give a lot. Rewards are mostly
and mainly based upon the satisfaction of knowing that they made a
difference in helping others. They are called by need and answer with
desire. They are rarely seen (if at all) but seem to be always present.

It has been said that, "We the unwilling, led by the unknown, have been
given so little, to do so much, in so little time, that we are capable of
doing anything with nothing." If this be the case, then my group would fit
in just fine with one exception---they are willing, not unwilling."

I don't think there is any commercial ecommerce program around that has so
many people dedicated to help at a moments notice and for that they don't
expect anything in return. They do it based on purely knowing they helped
someone else.

The people that contribute here are the reason Agoracart is still alive and
kicking , I know some give their time in helping new people, some give time
in coding hacks, others Like the Code Keeper himself Mr. Ed love what they
do and are driven by not money but the satisfaction in knowing that they
have kept this little cart going and along the way have provided the vehicle
for many many people to take the bull by the horns and jump feet first into
the ecommerce world. Think of the ProForum as an upgrade to the vehicle .
It gives you a few more bells and whistles and allot more support for
advanced topics. I am already a Pro Member and just to prove a point if
5 people sign up for the Proforum after reading this I will donate an
additional 20 bucks to the project just because I believe that community
support has made Agora what it is and what it will be next year and only
with this support what it will be in 5 years from now. I hope everyone has
a safe and Happy New Year and I look forward to reading many great posts in
this forum throughout 2004.

Andy
