Post Content Management System/Program
Hi, my hosting company provides me with fantastico which has quite a few content management programs available. Has anyone used Mambo? Is there a way to integrate it? Does anyone have any recommendations? I already made my site, and now see that I shouldn't use agora as a cms in other posts. I am not very familiar with these programs and would appreciate any advice or suggested reading. Thanks!

i dabbeled with mambo a few years ago. seems to have good support and constant development as well as being aware of security issues.
you can use mambo and agoracart but they will have to be run as seperate functions. if you know coding you can port out to mambo's mysql to inject customer data from the store.
you can place links in mambo to your store and links in your store back to mambo. there is no reason why the two can't work seperately but in harmony if planned properly.
regards,
dan

there are varying degrees of programs to use for content management. some manage ssi only for example. some go full blown and have news feeds, membership, forums, one or more mysql dBs, modular content ares and more. probably the most popular is phpnuke. you can do a google for..
content management +phpmysql
or
content management +cgi/perl
not too much in the cgi/perl category as php has more coders.
regards,
dan
