Post Gift Certificate feature? 
Does AgoraCart offer some type of Gift Certificate feature/hack where the user can fill out any dollar amount they want and have an email sent automatically to the recipient with a gift code that is redeemable (similar to what Amazon does)?

The simplest way I can think of doing gift certificates is to create that product with an option menu with various gift amounts. I'm stuck on how the recipient of the certificate would redeem it.

I haven't seen other posts on this yet. Does anyone have any suggestions?

You can set up an option file to allow for the customer to enter their own va;ue amount by following this thread:

Or you can set up the option file with a drop-down list of specified amounts for the gift certificate.

The gift certificate code, though would not be automatically generated.

You would also need the coupon & discount hack avaialbe to Pro Members so that you could set up your redemption codes.
The issuance of the gift certificate and entering of the redemption codes are all manual processes. Meaning that you need to set them up manually and you would have to send the "gift certificate" manually after receipt of the order.

Personally, when I have someone purchase a Gift Certificate, I physically mail them the certificate.
