Post Sort/Search or assign multiple category
Hi all,

I have been reading posts for a few hours now, but have not found anything exactly matching what I am attempting or that I understood. If someone can point me to a post or help me out it would be apprecitated.

I want/have 5-6 categories and I purchased the DBwizz to manage all my products. Working great so far. I want to assign a sub category or sort the data in a special manner. I have about 4800 products in the 6 categories, but I want to hard code links or a search so that people can not only look at products by their category but by a separate search. In this case I sell perfume, so one category is women's perfume. But I also want to have a link that will give visitors all perfumes/colognes/bath oils/etc. starting with the letter "a". A is not a category.

I don't know if I need to use a user field to do this or what. And the hard code it. ( I saw some post but was lost)
If it is the user-field I need some help on how I hard code the link to the user-field. I want to add the alphabet to the header and have each letter in the alphabet link to all product names that start with that letter.

If there is another way that would be appreciated as well.

Thanks!

I posted this last week and have not heard anything. Does anyone have any ideas or can explain better how to use the user-fields to accomplish this?
THanks!

Sorry, must've been overlooked...

You could set up a user field something like, user 2: womena

Then a link something like this:
"agora.cgi?user2=womena"

Then every product with "womena" in the User 2 field will be displayed.

Is this what you were looking for?

HTH!
