I just changed the header information for the product sales page, in the store_header.inc and secure_store_header.inc files. Sometime during the process, the entire page noted above has gone missing.

Would it matter that I saved the two .inc files in RTF rather than Simple Text?

I don't know what else I did to create this problem.

They MUST be saved as simple text with the .inc extension, DO NOT save in rich text format.
The RTF format adds all sorts of stuff into the file which cannot be interpreted by the cart or the browser.
Then the edited file MUST be uploaded to the server in ASCII mode.


It looks like your store's front page is missing... There is supposed to be an index.html file in the 'html' directory of the store which serves as the front page of your store.

Many thanks, Bonnie. The reformatting of the .inc files from RTF to simple text successfully solved the problem. All of the page content is displaying now as before.

My attempt to change header information on that page is not taking, though. I have made a phone number change in the text of the secure_store_header.inc and the store_header.inc files.

I have uploaded these changed files to the store/html/html-templates folder, but the changed information is not appearing on the web page. Any ideas? Is there another place where the header information on the web page http://www.gentlefoxfarms.com/store/agora.cgi?product=Food needs to be changed?

What is the number supposed to be?
You might need to refresh your browser or clear your cache to view the updated page.

The new phone number should be 561-818-8707.

I've cleared the cache. And also reloaded the page holding down the Option key. I did doublecheck the .inc header files, and both show the new phone number.

Try looking at the files using your file manager in your cpanel and see what the files say there.
I have, on occasion, uploaded files to the server using FTP and the files not be saved... not sure why it happened... when I checked the files in the cpanel, it revealed that the files were not updated.

Yes, one of the two files had not reflected the change. I changed the information there through the file manager, and it is working! Thank you Bonnie, I deeply appreciate your time and your help.
