Different Cart Images depending on Options chosen

Post Different Cart Images depending on Options chosen
Hi, I am building an agoracart site for a client who wanted her store display to have a different picture for the item depending on what color option was chosen. I already have the code in place to do this in the storefront, but I can't figure out how to get the same behavior in the cart display.

This may be easier to demonstrate than to explain. Go to allfiredupgallery.biz, pick "Garden Art" category and pick a different color for one of the items (ex: pick raspberry for the Sun Face, which is the first one). Notice that the picture changes. But when you check out, its still getting the picture that is stored in the database, since I haven't modded that yet.

I spent an hour poking around in agora_order_lib.pl, it looks like display_cart_table is the right place to be. But I can't figure out how to get at the options text, the $display_me variable for that column evaluates to some script code? So it looks like there is some indirection going on. Also, I noticed there are some "codehooks" there but no idea if those will help me or not.

Any tips/suggestions here? If this is too advanced a question for free support, np I will re-post later after I sign up for the paid support/pro version whatever you call it. I need to do that anyway to get access to the shipping logic mods for this customer (its SBW but orders over $300 are free).

I don't need this anymore. The client decided it would be ok just not to have the pictures in the cart compared to the time I would have to spend to figure this out since no one on these boards seems to know anything about it or has even bothered to look at it.

Your post has been seen, but to our knowledge no one has incorporated this type of thing in the store.

Thanks for the info. I knew it was going to be pretty tricky when she first brought it up. The part that had me stuck was, where it is formatting the IMG tag, how to reference the Options field. If I knew that I could have worked out the rest.

It's irrelevant now, though, but thanks anyway.
