Hide an item

If I have items I need to hide/show how do i do this, say the item is sold out etc...
I'm sure there is way but I can't find it anywhere.

the progroup has an inventory hack that will allow for this. however, you really don't need it if you just want to take a product offline for a while for other reasons. it will take an agorascript to check a userfield.
i recommend you join the pro group or you can have this coded for you.

I am a pro memeber but never seen a hack like that.
How much to do it dan? I will let my client know and see if they will pay for the feature.

there is no additional charge for this hack. just download and install and follow the directions.
if you have probs with the mas decrement hack then post in the pro forum. i posted a hack for this hack to display alternate information like messages and no add to cart button when the qty is 0. you can choose to have the image and description remain or you can do other cool stuff like display a coming soon text or image or sold out or whatever.

Please give me a brief install method for this hack since the little readme it have doesn't say much and I just don't get it.
