Post Searching
Hi,

With regards searching for an item.

I am currently in the process of using this fine script for lingerie products.

My question is :

When search for a product I get other items listed in search results which are unrelated.

How are the kewords applied to prevent this occuring?

Regards,

Rik

Rik,
When searching for keywords, the following database fields are searched for the terms:
0 [product ID],1 [Category],3 [Name],5 [Description]

HTH!

if the input is not already there then you can add this to the form...
<input type="hidden" name="exact_match" value="on">
this will narrow the dB search to return only the exact matches to the query. this will be case sensitive as well. so "night gown" is not the same as "Night Gown" nor will the search return "night" nor "gown".
there is a drawback though with exact match. unless ppl enter the exact term(s) as you have in the dB they wont get any returns. this can be a challenge to the visitor.
