 Paypal Business Account
My client currently has a Paypal Business Account and I am setting up a new website for him, using Agoracart 5.0. I've used Paypal accounts before, with other sites, but seem to be missing something in my attempts to connect Agoracart to Paypal. Do I need to purchase a pro membership to get information on how to connect the two? This forum doesn't have a section for Paypal, so I'm assuming I do?? Please direct me in the proper direction. Thanks.

You need to set up the PayPal settings in the Payment Gateway area of the manager, just as you need to for any other gateway you would have used.

Another question...
Thanks.
Is there a document I can read regarding the Paypal setup? Since Paypal has it's own area for setting up shipping/taxes/etc., do I need to set them up in the Agoracart control panel?

There is no documentation, just pretty much fill in the blanks in the Payment Gateways manager.
Do not use the PayPal settings for your taxes and shipping charges.
Set it all up in AgoraCart.

I HAVE AGORA CART VERSION 4 BUT I NEED PAYPAL GATEWAY
I have agoraCart version 4.04 but i want to integrate paypal which does not show as ann option in the gateway, do i need to upgrade to version 5? how can i do that, or what other options can i do, as i installed the agoraCart from the control panel of the Hosting company I do not know if i can upgrade on my own

Mike,
Yes, you would need to upgrade to v5.
If you are just getting started with AgoraCart, just do a fresh install of v5.
You can download the installer file from the "Download" link on this page.
There is an install guide available from there, as well.

I Had the AgoraCart 4.0 installed already
I had the AgoraCart installed from the Control panel of my hosting company, which came with version 4, also I do not hink i can download anything since it is a shared hosting, but i really want to be able to use paypal, I tried 2checkout and had my own share of problem in addition to the 5.5% charges with 2Checkout, so please if there is any way i can update to version 5 without the administrator privilege to the hosting server, someone mention having AgoraCart Pro account, how much does that cost

Only upgrade to receive paypal on version 4.0
I have setup the shopping cart already in AgoraCart 4.0 which i found out that it does not come with Paypal payment, but i want to upgrade or tweak to receive paypal, i do not want to go through upgradng all to AgoraCart 5.0 as i will have to re-enter all the items and other stuff again, please can someone give me an idea, where i can add just the paypal gateway. Do i need to hard code using the paypal PAY NOW links from paypal website, i have my paypal email ready

Upgrading to v5 will not mean entering everything again.
But there will be some things you will need to edit to get your store completely upgraded after you do the upgrade. Thesew changes are detailed in the following post:
