Best way to get Paypal in v4.0

Hello,
I need to get paypal working in v4.0. I subscribed to the pro lifetime membership but is there something I need to download or something to get it to work?

you need to log into the pro downloads to get the file. if you have problems then post to the pro forum please.
also, i'm not sure if the paypal gateway will work in 4.0 anyways.
is there a reason why you're not updating your store? if you do then use the proversion to update.

Will upgrading overwrite any custom changes?

you should install the proversion seperately then integrate the changes into the new store keeping your current store live.
there are so many features in the basic pro version you may want to rethink the store in it's entirety. of course there are probably many considerations you'll want to maintain comong from the old store.
do you have some "for instances" of custom coding or whatever you're concerned about?

I just meant shipment settings, custom headers and footers... nothing major.

The PayPal gateways will work in v4, but you need to make sure that you download the v4 files in the pro member downloads area.
