productPage-4a.inc issues

This is my first posting to this forum, and so before I pose my question, I would to say thank you to
everybody involved in this forum. I have gone from what the heck are they talking about, to a general understanding of AgoraCart, and then to a complete amazement of this piece of software. All due to this forum, so again Thank You .

OK, To The Question.

I am using version 4.0k-4b Standard to control my stores. The following link is to my test store.

The main ppinc file is a the productPage-4a.inc (which is re-named productPage.inc), however I would Like to have a separate layout per category, So I created a custom .inc page using the category name, by overwriting the productPage-4a.inc with the new category name.

IE= "productPage-4a.inc" is now "LogoCaps_Car_Logos.inc".

However When you click on the the link to that category ( LogoCaps_Car_Logos )> then continue to the select model, you lose the add to cart button with the option attached.

Where as every other category that is governed by the main productPage.inc file retains that function.

Now both the custom and the main PPinc files are based on the productPage-4a.inc files.

So where did I goof?

Any guidance is appreciated

You need to do a fresh install, but this time, install v5...
You did the rename of the productPage correctly, but this will ONLY work in v5...

Thanks for the response.
Upgrading to v5 was in the cards for the future, due to v4 not accepting pay pal.

So I need change my time line a bit it seems.

Do not use the upgrader... there are still things to work out in it (it doesn't seem to work the same on all servers...)and can cause more headaches.
So do a fresh install of v5 when you're ready to move to v5.

Thanks for the heads up.

As it turned out, while looking at the forums for potential issues regarding the jump up to v5,
I found a workaround for my original issue.

I will be going to V5 , as a fresh install, when the time comes.
