Hi,
I'd like to be able to leave items that are "out of stock" in my database for when I have them again, but I don't want to show them on my site at all.
I'm not sure that the Inventory package would do what I want, because items are sold in my face-to-face store and online, so just decrementing the quantity available every time an order is placed online won't do it. I was thinking that I could use a UserField with a simple 0 or 1 to indicate whether the item is available, and quickly go online and edit it when I sell the last one. That would be fine with me, because I rarely go out of stock of things. (But when I do, they're often unavailable for 6 months or more, which is why I don't want them to even show on the site.) But I don't know where to put the logic to hide it from the product pages once it's NOT available.
Can someone please point me in the right direction?
