Post Why won't one category show up when requested
Here's my page:

http://www.cbarbconley.com/apparel/agora.cgi

The link that says Men's Scrubs and Unisex Scrubs gives no results, even though the category is listed.

Now if I change the category name in the data.file the link name will change on the link bar, so how if I need to, do I change the name of the cat in the data file but keep the same link name in the link bar. thanks.

here is the link to the data file, you can ctrl+F to find the category.

the reason being you want to try & avoid using spaces in the category name.... i'm suprized the other ones are workin

using an "_" should solve your issue

I changed the spaces to underscores and still doesn't work. Maybe the category name is too long? Can I fix that somewhere?

thanks.

Can I make a suggestion? Use Option files for your products. I pulled up the Blazers category and you have so many items come up that are identical in every way other than the size. I am running a cable modem and it took a long time just for that one category to come up. The other ones timed out before they displayed. I'd guess that your database is huge and it's trying to find the matches so it can display them all. Option files are your friends if you use them.

The most common problem with the database is forbidden characters used. To find a list of the forbidden characters go to the following page.

I understand, this is already in planning, only problem is there are about 22,000 products that can be broken down to maybe a few thousand. What you saw is one of 5 carts, that could be worked on with option files, this will have to wait till I have time. But yes, option files would be the best thing, for now their customers will just have to rely on the search engine if they are in a category that has a lot of products.

Also is there a way to get to the main settings screen. I can't get there, after I set the url path for the images, this message in red shows up at the bottom:

Looks like cookies are not working for the manager, logins from muliple IP addresses simultaneously are not enabled. Often this happens when the main store settings (URL path info) are not properly set, check them now!

Also is there a way to size down each image to a default size, or to shrink each image that is displayed in the list of products?

thanks for the help.
