AgoraCart Free User Forums

Hello,

I wanted to introduce myself to the forums and noted that there was no existing posts on ecommerce order fulfillment [third party logistics (3PL) and/or pick pack services].

Mr Ed posted a new logo (Shipwire) on the main site and I wanted to explain to the forum users why. We're trying to gauge whether Agoracart merchants are interested in order fulfillment from a provider like Shipwire.

Overall, The integration between Agoracart and Shipwire is not done yet. We're trying to find out if this is something that interests the user community.

If so, what aspects?
- What warehouses would you consider putting inventory into (Los Angeles, Chicago, Toronto, Vancouver, UK/Europe)
- Savings on shipping
- freight/import movement assistance
- Real-time order fulfillment after the order is approved?
- Pulling live inventory from the warehouse network?
- Getting parcel Tracking id's from carriers back to the storefront?
- Shipping rates into the cart?

I'm sure you all get the picture. I'm subscribed to this post so will get notified and I'm open to private questions. If you have other questions about warehousing or importing I will try and answer them as well.

i don't come to the free forum often anymore. i hang out in the gold forum so just found this post.
this is a cool solution and great concept. it may have limited results from the agora to shipwire referral aspect. that's not to say it shouldn't be persued! exposure and client fulfillment would benefit both, as can easily be seen.
it seems to me that it would be advantageous for shipwire to have a variety of affiliate e-commerce shoppingcart solutions based on the varied complexities of potental client's needs. for example, a complex shoppingcart solution wouldn't bode well for a client who needs an intuitive, albeit powerful, shoppingcart solution such as agoracart.
there are things in the works with agoracart that will elevate it head and shoulders above other solutions in terms of SEO at the very least, to name one.
so, keep agoracart and kfactor on your list. agoracart may not fulfill everyone's needs but it's solid, a coder's dream and we're working hard to excel in the modern internet environment.
