Hello,
I wanted to introduce myself to the forums and noted that there was no existing posts on ecommerce order fulfillment [third party logistics (3PL) and/or pick pack services].
Mr Ed posted a new logo (Shipwire) on the main site and I wanted to explain to the forum users why. We're trying to gauge whether Agoracart merchants are interested in order fulfillment from a provider like Shipwire.
If you want to check out shipwire; please go there through the Agoracart partner link to support the project and help us understand interest. There is a free trial offer there as well. Here is the link again: http://partner.shipwire.com/o.php?id=2501
Overall, The integration between Agoracart and Shipwire is not done yet. We're trying to find out if this is something that interests the user community.
If so, what aspects?
- What warehouses would you consider putting inventory into (Los Angeles, Chicago, Toronto, Vancouver, UK/Europe)
- Savings on shipping
- freight/import movement assistance
- Real-time order fulfillment after the order is approved?
- Pulling live inventory from the warehouse network?
- Getting parcel Tracking id's from carriers back to the storefront?
- Shipping rates into the cart?
I'm sure you all get the picture. I'm subscribed to this post so will get notified and I'm open to private questions. If you have other questions about warehousing or importing I will try and answer them as well.
Many thanks to everybody, I look forward to your thoughts.
Nate Gilmore
Shipwire team
P.S. admins, this looked like the right forum to post into; if I'm wrong please help me correct it.
