Hi All,

I'm trying to set up my store at: http://www.cordiecakes.com/store/agora.cgi

My host is GoDaddy.

I'm trying to use the UPS SBW module and I keep getting this error:

UPS module error: shipping cost not determined!
Please use your 'Make Changes' button and correct
any fields as required and try again.
Please contact the site administrator ASAP if error continues

If I use LWR, I get no error but cannot continue the order from step 2. That is the error I get when using http-lib. Here are all of the settings I'm using:

GoDaddy.com, eh? That's a real bummer...
You won't be able to use the UPS API...
USPS would be the only one that works and it only will work on LWP..
We have found that they are not an adequate host to run AgoraCart and aren't quite up to snuff for e-commerce...

We suggest that you find a better host. One that is less restrictive and more e-commerce friendly...
Oh, yeah, don't try using ipower.com, ipowerweb.com or startlogic.com, they will give you the same headaches if not worse... (they have unstable servers...)

I looked in the Agoracart gold documentation and noticed that the Booster Pack provides a UPS XML option for integration. Are the UPS perl codes generally the same so that if I stay with GoDaddy and use the Booster pack's XML integration it still probably won't work? I signed up with bluehost and made a test store with which the UPS API works, but my client does not want to leave GoDaddy.

I'm wondering if the booster pack has any potential to solve the problem if we continue with godaddy?

-sidenote- I also called GoDaddy to find out why the UPS API isn't working. They looked at the minimum requirements for Agoracart and said their hosting meets them, and couldn't really offer any reason why the API doesn't work. I'm a designer, not much of a developer, do you know what technical requirements the UPS API requires so that I can perhaps request or find out if godaddy offers it?

It is because they don't allow the use of the http-lib... They only allow the use of LWP...
However, the standard UPS API doesn't use LWP....

In the long run the client might end up paying more if they don't switch....

The booster pack should work...
In order to get the booster, they need to, also, be a premier member.

UPS technical support mentioned that to get any rate over the internet, the request must have an access id, username and password. Since I didn't fill any in within the shipping settings manager, am I correct in assuming there is a default Agoracart provided access id, name and password?

If this is the case, is there any way that I can change the access id, username and password to the corresponding information my client has acquired from UPS?

If this is not the case (ie there is no access id, username & pw), then how are the rates being returned?

The access id, user & pass is only for the XML version of the rate calculator....
Those are not necessary for the basic UPS calculator...

So, if you will be moving to the Gold version for the XML, you will need to register your client to use the UPS Web Tools and obtain the access id, user & pass from them...
