Post Simle Flat Rate Custom Shipping
Hi Folks,

I'm sure the answer is simple and exists in here somewhere, but after a full day of reading forums and tweaking different bits my poor ol man brain is mush. So I'm gonna ask the experts.
I want to set up shipping to be a fairly simple flat rate based system that adds additional money depending on the number of items. such as 5.00 base and an additional 1.50 per item after the first. These may no be invidual items listed for instance someone may order a quntiy of 2. I'm thinking as follows.

US - Domestic - xxxx dollars
Non-US Canada - xxxx dollars
Non-US Other - xxxx dollars

I'd like to add xxxx dollars for each item over the first one.

I only want those 3 methods to appear as choices so I think edit the order form remove what is there and add those. I then guess I need to look at the shipping country a decide which of the three is true and match the base $ value for shipping. Then I need to see the item count and if it is more than 1 figure out how many time to add the aditional dollars?

Does anyone have something like this working or a sample base I can build on and tweak?

Many Thanks

This might help you get the idea:
Code:

$ship_method = $form_data{'Ecom_ShipTo_Method'};
if ($ship_method = "US") {
$shipping_price = 5.00 + (($quantity-1) * 1.50);
}

HTH!
