Hi I purchased gold membership, is the set up automatic or does it have to be done manually, access to the forums etc

Gold Membership is manually added to the members area.
However, if you can access other Gold Members areas, then your gold Membership is set up.
To actually access the Gold Member's Forum, you will need to register for a username/password in the Gold Member Forum. Membership in the Gold Member's Forum is not automatically done when you get access to the Gold Member's area of AgoraCart.com

No, you do not need to request a refund.
To set up a Gold Membership, Mister Ed has to manually add you to the membership rosters in the correct places.
It can take around 5 BUSINESS days for him to set it up.
When he does have it set up for you, he will send you an "activated" email.
When did you apply for the Gold Membership?
