Post Adding products various problems - Yes I am a newbie here
Hi, I am trying to set-up a shop-front using Angoracart and have managed to stumble through to adding products.

1 - I can only load small low resolution images less than 100k - If I try lager files it comes up with - cgi-lib.pl: Request to receive too much data: 164892 bytes - Can I change this to accept larger files and if so How?

2 - Even when I get an image uploaded and a product added the image does not show on the site anywhere - IE Front page or on the product page - I left the settings as standard with regard to where the images were to be uploaded to as far as I can tell.

I use Google Chrome and am wondering if this program/script is compatible with that?

Cheers - Tony

Tony,
I cannot access your site ( I get forbidden and broken link errors), however, based on what you are saying here's a few things to try:

I am going to be assuming that you have the current version of 5.2 for Agora. If you have an earlier version, you need to get the latest version from the "download" link on this page.

I use Google Chrome all the time and many other browsers with Agora,
it is not a browser compatibility issue, it's all about proper configuration.

The image upload can be gotten around by uploading all of your images via FTP directly to the store's 'html/images' directory.
The product image does not automatically get linked to a product just because you use the upload feature in the product add/edit screen. You have to enter the image's EXACT file name in the appropriate fields in the product add/edit form.

Make sure in the Primary/Core settings that for the URL for store image's directory you just have the following, with NO LEADING OR TRAILING SPACES:
Code:
html/images

Post what?
I'm sorry if this is considered an old post, but your kidding me right? You use the image upload form field to upload an image x5, but it doesn't populate the "database" with the file name?

I'm sorry if this is rude, but that's kind of worthless, especially for a not-so-savy pc user. I'd have to say, that a LARGE majority of possible cart owners, fall into that category, tech-savy is not a requirement when you own a business.

I really hope you guys consider changing how you handle the images. As in, add an ftp option, so you can quickly handle file permissions, produce a category managed folder system for your products & categories and then a tie in via your product/category editors so you can point and click.

Just remember, CLI is a powerful means of usage(and I prefer it), but the mouse and GUI are more favoured by the masses.

PS:::
I'm seeing LOTS of errors on your sites: got this off the spell checker:

SQL Error : 1062 Duplicate entry '1' for key 2

INSERT INTO phpbb_sessions (session_id, session_user_id, session_start, session_time, session_ip, session_page, session_logged_in, is_robot, user_agent) VALUES ('ff0b52ec074be21ba30256f1719be7e7', 1, 1308681840, 1308681840, '4016569a', -53, 0, 0, 'Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux i686; rv:2.0.1) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/4.0.1')

This is an old version of phpBB and is being phased out for a new forum
( http://forum.agoracart.com/ )
along with a new version of AgoraCart that does handle images much
like you have stated.
