Post New install AgoraCart, Database, Invoice, & Orders
Group,

I am glad to have found AgoraCart. I have some questions about features, integration and management. After I am comfortable with the answers, I will "invest" into the cart and become a life member. Any Help would be great.

Questions:

1. I have a small ecommerce website with one product. I used DreamWeaver with a custom template to create and manage the site. My current cart is the PayPal cart. I like it because it was very easy to intergrate with my current website. I just needed to add the HTML and I was done. I noticed with Agoracart it is a lot more involved and that I need to use HTML include files. I am not very familiar with that and I am finding out that if I change my website, I have to manually change the include files too. Is there any way to intergrate the cart any easier, like paypal?

2. I currently have the cart setup to process the cards off line and email them to me securly with GPG. I know that the cart keeps a log of the transactions. Is there a way I can download the orders and import them into a database that will keep a customer log/database? I basically need something to keep all my records of customers & sales and when tax time comes around, I can generate reports like total sales, tax collected and all that stuff.

3. Is the cart able to make Invoices and Mailing labels?

I have seen the dbWizz program on the site, but there is not enough information avaliable. Is there a manual or documentation avaliable I can look at to see if it will work for me? I would like to know more about the application and make sure that it is going to do what I really need. I currently run an Access database that I wrote a while back. It seems to work good. But I am always looking for something better.

My website is www.mrdial.com

Nice site and what looks to be a great product too.... I haven't done reloading for quite some time.

1) This can be done. You need to review the information pertaining to using static pages.

2) There is a hack to export the order log in the lifetime Pro Forum in the mas_hysteria folder.

3) No

DB Wizz- This is a third party utility and the only information available is what you will find on the agoracart.com page. However, you will find several people in the forums who are very happy with it for maintaining the database. I imagine some of them will reply with testimonials. The Agora database is a flatfile and can be edited in any spreadsheet program or plain text editor.

Thanx for your information. I will check out the links you provided to see if I can make it work the way I need it.

Is there a way I can get a copy of the DB Wizz doc/install file? If I see that this cart will do exactly what I need, then you can count on a life time membership and DBWizz purchase for now. :)

Thanx for your help.

There is no DB Wizz doc/install file. You can read up on the benefits of DBWizz at: http://www.agoracart.com/dbwizz/

DBWizz is a program that runs in MS Access.

HTH!
