Post productpage-1c.inc
I'm new to agoracart and have really no experience writing html. However, I am learning by reading your wonderful responses. I like productpage-1c.inc except for the click here for more information citation. I realize I can go to html-templates and open 1c.inc, but my question is what exactly would I remove in making the edit. Also, can I make a copy of 1c.inc and call it something else so I don't screw up the original. How might that be done?

That said, on some productpages I like the click here for more information citation, but only if I can link directly to a web site. How does one go about doing that?

Thanks in advance.

To remove the more info link from ppinc page 1c, remove the following:
<A HREF="%%scripturl%%?cart_id=&p_id=%%ProductID%%&xm=on&ppinc=search2">Click Here for More Information</a>

I would definitely rename it something else so as to preserve the original or rename the original, productPage-1c.inc.bak.

Primarily your store will use what ever file is named productPage.inc and you can rename any pf the product pages that.
HTH!

Post RELOADED AGORA FILES AND........
I reloaded all agora files and still can not get the desired display of items to show. I wanted 4 in a row and changed the file name from productPage-4a.inc to productPage.inc and no change.

I can get a change in display by using the productPage.inc.2.per.line.if.not.using.options.at.all.rename.this.file.for
This still shows a flaw tho as it add %%option files%% displayed on page as well..........

I also tryed to add sub cats as it mentions in support section. Again no results.........

What am I doing wrong?

Where did you get the files for installing AgoraCart. I would suggest downloading a fresh copy from http://www.agoracart.com/download.htm

Are you sure you uploaded the file in ASCII mode?

Post Re-uploaded
I re-loaded the agora script using winzip to unzip to my harddrive then took the entire file folder and uploaded using AceFTP and it was successful.........I then re-installed just my data file so that i would save time.

The %%option file%% thing is gone........... But so is any other sign of change using any of the product Page.inc files..............

I am at a loss.....

Post It worked........... sorta
It seems that my FTP program was not working correctly on auto.

The script seems to be working ok on the productPage.inc files but my images in product edit arent working as I think they should.

I will reload the agora file using non-auto and see if it works better like the page.inc ones did

hell-o
using wsftp, all versions, as an example.
to use the auto mode correctly you must go into option and define all files not to be uploaded in binary.
do this...
add files like .shtml .html .htm and the like. most common such as .doc and .txt. rule of thumb is if you can see it in notepad (html inc lib ) then it goes in ascii. if you open it in notepad and you see non little or no human recognizable characters (jpg gif zip tgz) then it goes in binary and does not belong on this list.

go through all of the extension in the store files and add them exept images and you'll be fine. (not sure though. there maybe one or two that shouldn't be added but they are generally obscure files not normally xfered). there are some files with no extension or "oddly" named add those too.
regards,
dan
