Post Can't get past log-in 
I have AgoraCart preinstalled on my website through Startlogic. I am stuck on the log-in screen for the store manager. The first dialog box came up and I can't remember what I entered, but it brought me to another log in screen and I can't go anywhere from there. I type in my website user name, and password and that brings me to the same site everytime, but I can't go any further. HELP My website is: www.debsvintagesewing.com

I have the same problem. I setup .htaccess, get though that fine, but then I can't log in via the web screen. Any ideas?

Thanks for the quick response, I read a lot of documentation and did not come across the manager/admin thing anywhere. But it worked just fine.

Post Similar problem 
I installed AgoraCart just fine. I went through the steps of setting up the htaccess page and changed the password under the Password button.

I was able to log back in just fine. That was all yesterday. Now I'm trying to log in and can't get past the log in screen. I've tried the default manager/admin with no luck.

I also noticed that a MySQL database is not set up. I have uninstalled and reinstalled AgoraCart with the same outcome. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong.

There is not a mySQL version of AgoraCart...
So there will not be a mySQL database set up...
AgoraCart uses a flatfile database.

Make sure that when you enter your username & password that it is exactly how you set it up. It is case sensitive. If you still can't log in, you can go in via FTP and delete the .htaccess file found in the 'protected' directory of the store.

Thanks for the clarification about the database.

I am using the exact username and password that I originally set up. I'll go try to delete the .htaccess file and try to set it up again.

FINALY found refrence to that. Thank you very much - I couldn't find the default log in listed in any of the new manual/install guides.

With a version 5 install, when you receive the "SUCCESS!!!!" message, it does mention the default login credentials...
The credentials are also mentioned in the User Manual at:

Still, I'm glad you were able to find them here in the forum. I do know that they are mentioned lots and lots of times in here...

If you have just installed version 4.0K-4b from your web host's cpanel,
I would suggest that you install the latest version.
You also might want to delete the install of v4.x after you have v5 all installed.
Do not use the upgrader, just do a fresh installation of v5.
