Post Intergration query
I use a php database on a website to catalog items, I am wondering if I may use agora cart integrated with the database. If one could use something like this except in php verses HTML.

<form target="agoracart" action="http://www.mysite.com/cgi-bin/script" method="post">
<input type="image" src="http://www.mysite.com/en_US/i/btn/x-click-but22.gif" border="0" name="submit">

Then if you could call the shopping basket the same way, essentially using two different modules on my server to handle the transaction.

I have rudimentary php skills, meaning I can modify code pretty easily, but writing it myself is a little out of my league at the moment.

Is it possible to use agora in this method, or is it not possible to integrate into php?

well sure i think it can be done. you could run a non-dB store, link to the viewacrt and checkout in your templates. you could create a "buy now" button on your pages then fill in the specifics dynamically with your php scriptingit will take some work but you're essencally doing what agoracart does. if you're not using advanced features of mysql then you may want to just trnasfer everything into agoracart and let the store handle it.
much of what needs to be done depends on the content of your site and the role of php and mysql.

yer probably referring to mySQL or postgres. PHP is jsut a templating language (not really even a true data manuipulation language at that). AgoraCart is based on PERL which is a heavy duty data handling language. unfortunately we have not released a mySQl version yet. I do have one, and will refine it for the public this coming year as it is very very powerful and flexible... basically cutting edge technologies. I have been searching for years for somehting that will fit my requirements and finally have it framed-out for this DB conversion. So at this point we don't have a solution for you, but will in 2006 under the AgoraSQL brand.
