hi everyone i was hoping someone could help me out. I'm having such a hard time getting this cart installed. i have used cgi scripts before but not with these kind of problems.

I'm installing this on my website, in my cgi bin.
i keep getting this error message when i try to execute it

The tar extraction result was:

tar: This does not look like a tar archive
tar: Skipping to next header
tar: Archive contains obsolescent base-64 headers
tar: Error exit delayed from previous errors


I'm not even sure if I'm doing it right I'm not sure which download i need
I'm not sure if i need the tar or tgz shopping cart
I'm not sure if i need

CGI Installer file for TGZ AgoraCart Files - installtgz.zip (Zip File)
or
CGI Installer file for TGZ AgoraCart Files - installtgz.cgi
(Text File - rename to installtgz.cgi after download)

or if i need either of these

CGI Installer file for TAR AgoraCart Files - installtar.zip
or
CGI Installer file for TAR AgoraCart Files - installtar.cgi
(Text File - rename to installtar.cgi after download)


I'm just confused as to which downloads i need and how to install them.
do i unzip the files before i ftp them to my site?
or do i put the zipped files in and then they extract?

i know I'm making this so much harder then it really is, i tend to do this allot*L*

if anyone is willing to give me the steps and let me know exactly what i need to download i would be so appreciative.

Cara,
Most servers do best using the tgz files, so that is the one I would use.

You need the following files:
From the Downloads page at:
http://www.agoracart.com/download.htm
agoracgi.tgz & installtgz.zip

Unzip the installtgz.zip file and upload the installtgz.cgi file to the server in ASCII and chmod to 755
Upload the agoracgi.tgz file to the server in binary and chmod to 755

Now go to your browser and run the installtgz.cgi file.
IE: http://www.mydomain.com/cgi-bin/store/installtgz.cgi
