Post Static link to subcategory
I have some subcategories, and I want to create static links to the subcategories. I read a post that described how to link to subcategories dynamically with user drop-down boxes at:
http://www.agorasupport.com/custom-adv_subcats.htm

The problem is, I want to have a static link to the subcategory, kind of like the links I use to link to categories (agora.cgi?cart_id=%%cart_id%%&product=HTML). What would I use to link to a subcategory?

this all depends upon how you define those categories... look at the exact match (or xm) tokens and URL appenders found in the manual pages covering parsed pages. it may give ya some idears

if you place the subcat name in say user field 5 of the database under an master category, you can then append the link with &user5=subcat-name&xm=on for a check of user5 fer the name and xm will help with exact matches

OK, thanks.

I found a few methods myself that work fine, but your info is very helpful.
