Remove shipping for certain products.

Post Remove shipping for certain products. 
I have a client who sells software. Some of the software can
be downloaded rather than shipped. Is there any way to force
the cart to not charge shipping on certain products? If so, how?

Please, any response any one can give me will be greatly
appreciated.

There is a hack that is available to pro members that would allow you to specify products that would not count for shipping calculations. It could also be used for specifying products that wouldn't be taxed or discousts applied to.

Yes, visit Agora Hack. They sell a hack call Tax Exempt that should do the trick. It allows some items to be taxable, by using one of the fields in the database as the trigger.

Please remember that it is a 3rd party hack, is not supported by AgoraCart and may not work well with the current version of AgoraCart. According to their website there hasn't been anything new since 2003. The hack for Pro Members allows for more than just tax exemption of certain products.
You still have to pay someone to get a hack and Pro Membership gets you much more than just a hack or 2. You also continue to get access to support and not just the free support, but more advanced support. There is an incredible value to Pro Membership. Not to mention you help support the AgoraCart project to continue to bring updates and advancements to AgoraCart, and hence, yourself.
